Cookies on this website
Short and to the point: what the site stores and what it does not.
No tracking
This website deliberately uses no analytics or advertising cookies. I do not track you across websites, I do not use Google Analytics or ad networks and I do not profile visitors. That is why there is no annoying cookie banner here.
Cookieless visitor statistics
To learn which pages help people, I use my own statistics running directly on my web hosting. It stores nothing on your device. A one-way fingerprint is made from your IP address (with its last part removed) and browser details; it changes every day, so you cannot be recognised the next day. The IP address itself is never stored. Details are in the privacy policy.
Technically necessary data
Only technically necessary data may be used for basic operation and security:
- Appearance setting: your choice of light or dark mode is stored locally in your browser (local storage). It never leaves your device and is not used for tracking.
- Demo app settings: the digital aquarium remembers the chosen light, sound and number of fish in the same way, and the e-textbook remembers question ratings, the review plan and your written answers. The data stays in your browser only. The interactive floor plan demo stores and sends nothing.
- Form protection: Cloudflare Turnstile may store technically necessary data when a form is sent, to tell people from bots. It is not used for advertising.
Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings. This may affect small conveniences (such as remembering your chosen mode), but not how the website works.
Personal data
How I handle data from forms is described in the Privacy policy.
